Sunday, April 12 -24 miles and 800 feet of climbing
Our day started with a 2-hour shuttle to a winery for a tour and wine tasting. It is the first time we started the day with a tour. It was a very old winery in the central valley of Chile. We finally got on the bike and rode 24 miles with a little bit of elevation climb.

We ended the day at the top of a hill at another winery and hotel. The second winery was the Vik and was only recently started, whereas, the Casa Silva that we visited in the morning was founded in the 1880’s.
The owner of the winery has a collection of cars. Apparently, they are all run every Sunday.

I did not take a camera on the bike so I only have pictures from our stops and the end of the day. The Vik was an interesting place full of art and each room had a different theme.
The lobby area had a few interesting tables. This one was full of spools of thread.

Our room was named Azulejo, which means “tile” so the room was full of tile murals, including in the bathroom.

This is the ceiling over the bed.

The shower was an 8. Too much splash in the bathroom since there wasn’t any structure to the shower.
Here is the “headboard.”

The Vik has an infinity pool that made for a great picture. Bill would have liked to go for a dip in the pool, but we arrived at the hotel very late in the afternoon and only had about 30 minutes to get ready for the evening activities.
