TRIPLETT 2025 Coastal Ride

Bill and Lynne ride the Gulf coast

Lewis and Clark Trail Highway

Day 5 / July 11 / Biggs Junction to Hermiston, OR /91.9 miles / 3812 feet / 98 degrees

Today we spent the first 70 miles on the Lewis and Clark Trail Highway, which runs adjacent to the Columbia River in Washington. It was a beautiful ride on a freshly paved road with a very nice shoulder for bicycles.

Our morning started with a view of Stonehenge in Washington, which is a WWI memorial.

We also got one last look at Mt Hood before we headed west leaving it out of view for the remainder of our trip.

We took in a quintessential view of a train rolling along the river.

Interesting? Hmmm…more like a photo journal than a blog, I guess. Thanks for following along.
