Day 12: Chiefland, FL to Crystal River, FL, 45 miles, 83 degrees
So, another day on U.S. 98. It’s starting to feel like the Erie Canal of 2024…too many days on the same straight path. After one mile on the trail today, my route said, “end of route 44 miles.” No turns, just straight road.

There wasn’t much to take photos of along the straight road today, but here’s what we saw.
First rest stop: Hershel’s had a little of everything.

Loving the vicarious pleasure of travelling this with you.
Surely you must get really saddle sore cycling so far? That’s what put me off ever going far!
The highlight is the shower updates. It reminds me Noel Philips, of a Brit based in Texas who does an international travel blog and on every flight does his “Noel’s Loo Review”.
See you guys soon to hear more.
It’s night of May 3–praying all is well.
Crystal River reads like it has a lot going for it!!
Sorry I was ahead of myself🤣 only May 2!
Still praying all is well.
Thanks, Judy. All is well, and now it is May 3. ; – )
That first picture gave me the impression there are no cars😁. I couldn’t read the road sign but it’s late and my eyes are tired.
Sounds like you are having a good time and the weather looks good
