Day 10: Crawfordville, FL to Perry, FL; 54.6 miles, 82 degrees
Today was the second day in row that we spent all or most of the day on U.S. 98. It was a shorter route today – only 54.6 miles and it was all inland so there were no views of the bay or beautiful beaches. We went back on a wildlife search. Today we saw owl, baby alligator, snake, frog, and lizard – again, all dead. We also saw a beautiful bird this morning along the trail that I wish I had gotten a picture of or at least knew the name of the bird. I’ll have to do a search…later.
We did start the day with 11 miles along a really nice bike path.

Our first rest stop was at an interesting location – part gas station, part bait shop, part fishing excursion location and apparently a food stop.

Our rest stop ladies are the best: Priscilla, Carol and Carol. Priscilla covers rest stop one each day and the two Carols cover the second stop with lunch. Today was a shorter day and we all rode faster so they moved the lunch to the third rest stop at Rocky’s filling station and boutique. LOL

We arrived at the hotel at about 1 pm so there was time to take a dip in the “largest outdoor pool in Perry.” Sorry, that I did not get a picture of that advertised pool. It might be the largest, but it needed a little cleaning.
Finally, the shower here is an 8. A few cracks in the walls and not the best water pressure.
Our friends at the start – just after our morning prayer.
