Day 6: Destin, FL to Panama City, FL; 53.3 miles
Well, we have gotten to the beaches and it is the weekend, so the roads were a bit busier today. We spent a bit of time riding along Front Beach Road with a view of many private beaches…don’t even think about walking down to any of those private beaches to take a picture.

Lunch is provided each day out of the back of the pickup below. I think the ladies look for a spot with zero shade so that we don’t stay long. At least today’s lunch was in a grocery store parking lot so we could buy cold drinks.

You know you’ve hit a tourist spot when you see Ripley’s and the upside-down building of Wonder Works.

Tomorrow is an off day and we are looking forward to a break from the headwind and the pedaling. Perhaps we can find a public beach to dip our toes in the water. I am sure we will find an ice cream shop.
Today’s shower almost ranked a 9, but then Bill found water had seeped out of the shower onto the floor…that downgrades the rating to an 8.

So enjoying this tour of your Coastal Ride!
I was so excited to read of the 9 ranked shower but alas, that did hold for long…
Looking forward to your posts.
Thanks for sharing 😊
Apparently there is a Santa Monica, Florida in addition to its’ famous namesake in California?
It seems like you’ve reached Florida very quickly, flying right by MS and AL!
Love the Dolphin mailbox!
Glad you have a day off at a location with a highly rated shower!
