Day 39 / Aug 14 / Grand Rapids, MI to Owosso, MI / 88.4 miles and 2,600 feet / 84 degrees
We rode on rolling roads for the first 25 miles today before joining the Fred Meier State Trail for almost all of the remainder of the day.
We passed through a covered bridge in Fallasburg, as well as the historic district of that town.

There is apparently a $5 fine for going faster than a walking speed in the covered bridge.

For those of you keeping track, lunch was at a Welcome Center along the trail.

Lynne…really enjoying your posts. Your trip looks fantastic.☺️
Thanks! We are enjoying the trip, but probably won’t sign up for another long trip like this – it is a long time to be gone and in a different hotel every night.
How is your Door County place coming along?
So she says 😂
Wow I can’t get over how beautiful the trails look. Are they pretty smooth, or lots of cracks?
And did you end up paying a fine?😁
