Day 35 / Aug 10 / Spring Green, WI to Madison, WI / 59.3 miles and 3,550 feet / 74 degrees
Day 36 / Aug 11 / Rest Day

It was another beautiful day on a bicycle. We had lovely roads with farms and streams and some pretty steep hills.

We started the ride crossing the Wisconsin River and then going by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin. Too bad we didn’t have time for a tour.

Bill’s nephew, Mike, joined him for part of the ride before lunch and then we drifted off with him for the final leg into Madison. He took us on Madison’s amazing bicycle infrastructure, including through the University of Wisconsin on the way to our hotel, which is not too far from the square and the state capital building. Notice the generational difference in the equipment. ; – )

So great Bill’s nephew hopped on for the day! So beautiful – and hopefully cooler. It’s been nearly fall-like weather down here (high 70’s, low 80s).
Wow, such vivid colors, so beautiful. My niece is in Madison. She used to live close to the capitol building. She is getting her doctorate in research of some form. Glad the nephew could join. So sweet 😁. Praying for continued safe travels. ❤️
Yay! We are so happy you guys met up with Mike! Can’t wait til you get in our neck if the woods!!!
Ahhh!! So fun to have Mike join you!!
