Day 25 / July 31 / Wall, SD to Kadoka, SD / 57.0 miles and 2,384 feet / 93 degrees

Today was one of the best days yet. We spent most of the morning riding through the Badlands. What an amazing place!

We saw a little bit of wildlife, including tagged big horn sheep.

The sign about Beware of Rattlesnakes was not a joke. This guy was right in the road, attracting the attention of all the riders.

It’s been a few days since either of us had a flat…so, Bill decided to get one today. At least it was in a place with a beautiful backdrop.

If you have never heard of Kadoka, SD, you are in good company. It’s a one motel, one “grill” town, but the guys at the grill were hard working and got our food out pretty quickly. And, finally, our lunch stop was right by a prairie dog town.
