Day 16 / July 22 / Livingston to Columbus, MT / 80.9 miles and 1464 feet / 95 degrees

Yes, today included three stretches of I-90 and in Montana, the speed limit is 80. : – 0 Fortunately, two of the stretches on I-90 were only a few miles. The third stretch was 8.5 miles, but we all made it in one piece. Bill picked up a piece of wire from a truck tire somewhere so he ended up with a flat. At least it was not on the freeway.

As you can see, Elmo got to ride Bill’s handlebars all day. We also came across some really nice metal art at the gate of one of the ranches as we were nearing Columbus.

Most of the day was spent near the Yellowstone River, which looks a lot like other rivers we have crossed. LOL

We are spending the night in the luxurious Columbus Super 8. I give it one star. It would have been zero stars thanks to the smoking smell in our nonsmoking room, except that the shower exceeded our expectations and ranks a seven out of ten. LOL
Finally, for my quilting friends, this was found in the coffee shop that made our second rest stop of the morning.

Love the Elmo! The scenery makes up for the one star hotels! Easy for me to say!!
