Today is another sea day as we cruise to the South Georgia Islands. The people on South Georgia are very serious about protecting the pristine environment so we had another biosecurity video and clothing inspection. The real fear is Avian Flu that might be carried along and there is also concern that no non native species are introduced to the environment there by someone carrying a seed on their clothing that gets dropped while visiting the islands.
Here are a few pictures of what our view looked like most of the day. From the bow, from our room and from the aft of the ship. Scenic, right?

We did some wildlife watching off the bow and stern of the ship. I saw lots of giant petrel and albatross circling the wake of the ship. I also spotted a whale spout far in the distance so no photo.

So besides wildlife watching and mandatory briefings and tests there was a Christmas Trivia contest and a Christmas card making event on board.

I will stick with my retired status – I now know that I cannot be an artist…such a shock to this accountant. LOL
Merry Christmas!
