Day 7/ July 13 / Walla Walla to Clarkston/ 95 miles and 4500 feet/ 104 degrees
Day 8 / July 14 / Clarkston, WA / Rest Day

Saturday was a challenging day of riding that was made more challenging with the heat, but everyone made the full distance. We passed many wheat and barley fields and I think the ride support team found the only shady spot along the route for lunch.

We ended the ride along the Snake River…it looked very inviting, but people were more interested in getting to the air-conditioned hotel than leaving the road to take a dip in the river.
There were some quintessential western sites along the route.

Sunday is a rest day. Laundry and time off the bike – both are needed for the riders in the group. For those with nothing else to do, there is a field trip to a bicycle shop at noon. LOL
