Day 7 – Off the bike in Panama City
Today was an off day that started for me with a Bible Study Fellowship leaders’ meeting. We have now completed our study of Revelation and I was so glad to be able to join the ladies via Zoom. While I was attending the meeting, Bill started laundry and we had an experience that was a first for us…he put our clothes in the dryer and inserted the required $2. When he returned a few minutes later, someone had removed our clothes and used our time to dry their clothes. No, it wasn’t anyone from our group.

Mid-morning a small group of us headed to historic Panama City and spent a couple hours walking around. Bill and I found an ice cream place and a small beach, both of which everyone in our group enjoyed. The ice cream store, Sticky Fingers Screamery, was also a “lounge” with various games, including a Space Invaders game.

The Redfish Film Festival was happening in Panama City – I’m sure you have all heard of it – and Coca Cola was there doing a promotion for the event. We even got personalized Coke cans.

A little time was spent at the small beach – but at least we found a beach. The other half of our group drove around for a bit and never found a beach…???

Dinner was at Mission BBQ – where the food is delicious and the decor honors the military and first responders.

Lynne, your quick wit shines in your blog posts! When I lived in Birmingham we would often go to Panama City.—Although I somehow missed the Redfish Film Festival🤣
