Day 17 / July 23 / Columbus, MT to Lovell, WY / 89.9 miles and 2676 feet / 100 degrees

That’s about the best thing to say about today’s ride, which was long and uphill into a stiff head wind until lunch. And the road did not provide much in the way of scenery. 50 miles similar to the following and I am sure there will be many more miles of the same between here and Minnesota.

There was a bit of road art in SE Montana before we started on this bland road.

I finished the day with a flat tire, so Bill got to fix it while we waited for dinner at the 2-star Horseshoe Bend Motel. They do have a beautiful vegetable garden and some shaded picnic tables. We are having a catered meal here tonight. There are not a lot of options in this town of 2200 people.

Way to go Bill! Yes, that road – not much to look at ๐. Still praying ๐๐โค๏ธ
LOVE the art highlights and star ratings ๐
Bill to the rescue! Looks like your tire had enough of that scenery as well!
