Dauphin Island, AL to Pensacola, FL: 63.2 miles, including 5 by ferry, windy and 86 degrees

We rode a few miles to the Mobile Bay ferry, which took us to Fort Morgan, AL. From disembark, we rode to Gulf Shores, AL.

Lunch was across from the Flori Bama bar. Not the right time of day to stop in and see what the bar had to offer. I guess we will have to return by car – or not. There was no shade in the parking lot where lunch was served so we stayed about 20 minutes and took off to ride the remaining 25 miles to Pensacola. Just a few yards down from lunch, we encountered the Welcome to Florida sign.

Bill and I skipped the third rest stop. It was the wrong side of a very busy road and only 7 miles from the finish.

For those of you keeping score, today’s shower was a 4.0. Bad shower curtain, no bar soap, drain didn’t work well, it was a tub (not a walk in), and a poor fan. LOL
