Day 33 / Aug 8 / Lanesboro, MN to La Crosse, WI / 53.0 miles and 1,208 feet / 76 degrees
Today we spent the first 31 miles on the Root River Trail. It was a nice surface and mostly shaded and a great ride. We also crossed into Wisconsin just before we crossed the Mississippi River and one of our fellow riders told us that we have now completed 2/3 of our trip.

We passed through Petersen, MN and this guy was there to greet us.

Somewhere, not too long after lunch, Bill and I separated (which happens most days), so it was just me for this photo at the Wisconsin border.

One of the other riders captured Bill crossing the Mississippi River.

As we rode into La Crosse, we passed the world’s largest six-pack of beer. These hold enough beer to fill almost 7,500,000 cans of beer, which if placed end-to-end would run 565 miles. The six-pack is followed by the King of Beer. A bit of useless information to fill your day. ; – )

Love that useless info😁
Not entirely useless. Great memories… I recall Old Style. A popular beverage choice back in high school. Not that I ever partook…
