Day 6 = Altantic ocean between Ushuaia and the Falkland Islands
We had a few mandatory safety meetings today. One was to explain how to get in and out of the zodiacs (I guess the kayak demo is later when we are closer to where we will kayak. Anyway, here is a picture of all of the “toys” we will use on this trip.

We also had a mandatory boot fitting session and a biosecurity search of our outerwear so that we don’t unknowingly introduce non-native species to the area.

We also had a session on how to fit and use binoculars.

There are replicas of a couple of Edward Munch’s work in the auditorium where we meet for briefings and documentaries (so far).

The auditorium is named “Aula” and its name and artwork are derived from the orignals in a university in Oslo, Norway.
Same old shower here on the Octantis…however, we discovered a significant downgrade if you shower with rough seas. The end result is lots of water to mop up on the bathroom floor. LOL

Sounds like some rough seas ahead? And mopping to be done!
Interesting choice of art!?
