TRIPLETT 2025 Coastal Ride

Bill and Lynne ride the Gulf coast

Suncoast Trail and Starkey Park Trail

Day 14: Crystal River, FL to Odessa, FL; 73.9 miles, 2,400 feet of climbing, 85 degrees

Back on the road today and we were fortunate enough to have all but about 10 miles on trails; first the Suncoast Trail that paralleled the Suncoast Highway and then on the Starkey Park Trail. A bit of up and down for the first 40 miles and then we were back to flatter riding.

Our stops today were at trail heads, lunch included shaded tables – a bonus, and a Circle K with a Dunkin attached

First rest stop
Lunch stop at mile 35

Between lunch and the Starkey Park trail, we saw a bit of wildlife, including two wild turkeys that were too shy to let us take a picture.

Sandhill Crane

The Starkey Park was inviting after riding next to the highway for most of the day.

Our shower today had so much potential…very inviting bathroom.

Turns out the shower is only an 8. The hot water was slow to arrive and the doors on our shower were not mounted correctly, so they are very difficult to slide.

So much creativity with the towels😊
Starkey Park truly sounds delightful after riding next to a highway! To God be the glory for your physical, emotional, mental & spiritual strength.
Praying your shoes hold up—perhaps even 20 more years!🤣
